CANtutor AI
It’s 1am. Question four
still won’t budge.
Your AI tutor is awake.
CANtutor AI is a live, 1-on-1 AI tutoring app for students from elementary school through post-secondary. Talk it out loud, share your screen, and watch it worked on a whiteboard — line by line, against your real course and your real rubric.

See it in action
What a session actually looks like
Step through what a session covers.
Animated illustration — not a screen recording
Every panel below is drawn by hand to match the real interface, step for step. A recorded session is on the way; until then, the surest way to see the real thing is to open one yourself.
CANtutor AI
Speaking…
Speak naturally — your tutor listens, sees your screen, and answers out loud.
Step 1 of 4: Talk it through.
Three things a chat window can't do
Typing a question into a text box is not tutoring.
It can see
Hold up the page.
Camera, screen share, or a photo. Your actual page, not a retyped version.
It can show you
Steps drawn out, not typed at you.
A whiteboard it writes and sketches on while it talks.
It knows your term
Your course. Your rubric.
Connect Google Classroom — personal accounts, and school accounts where the district permits third-party apps — and it works to your deadlines and your teacher's marking scheme.
Where we stand
Built to make you capable.
Not to make you look capable.
Some tools hide on your screen and feed you answers during an exam. Not this one.
It teaches before it tells
Every session opens in Learn mode. Concepts first, the answer last.
It asks you to try first
Practice mode waits for your attempt, then hints just enough to unstick you.
Your grade is off-limits
No setting can soften your marking. A test enforces that, not a policy.
There is a mode that writes the full solution. We label it, it cannot touch your marking, and it is still your name on the page.
One subscription. The whole term.
Tutoring, quizzes, grading, flashcards, exam plans, lecture notes. Not nine tabs stitched together.
Live voice tutoring
Talk out loud. Camera and screen share included.
Live whiteboard
It writes the steps and sketches the graph.
Practice quizzes
Any topic. Full worked solutions, not a score.
Flashcards that stick
Reasoning on the back, spaced so it sticks.
Homework grading
Upload the rubric. See what loses marks first.
Google Classroom sync
Assignments, due dates and rubrics pull in, where the district permits it.
Exam study plans
Two weeks out? A dated, day-by-day plan.
Lecture recording
Record the class. Transcript, flashcards, quiz.
How it works
No booking. No waiting until Thursday. Open it and talk.
Start talking
Open a call. Camera on, screen shared, say what is confusing.
Work it out together
It sees your page and draws each step.
Make it stick
Quizzes, graded homework, a race with friends.
In their words
What students say
Four situations. Find the one that sounds like yours.
Sample quotes — illustrative, not real customers
I used to skip every question with a diagram because I couldn't type it into anything. Now I just hold my phone up to the page and it starts explaining the actual one in front of me.

Stopped skipping the diagram questions
I ran out of maths somewhere around long division. What I liked is that it wouldn't just tell her the answer — it kept asking her what came next until she got there herself, which is exactly what I can't do.

Homework stopped being a fight
I uploaded the rubric and my draft and asked what a marker would actually be looking for. It told me my second paragraph was doing two arguments at once. It never wrote a word of it, which is the only reason I'd use it.

Rewrote a seminar essay before submitting, not after
Three midterms in one week. I gave it the dates and what each one covered and it built the plan backwards from them. I'd have spent a whole evening making that myself and got it wrong.

Pricing
Real 1-on-1 tutoring time, every week.
Pro is $29.99 a month. At what a private tutor charges, that is about 25 minutes of one — once, on a Tuesday, if they are free.
Pro buys up to 40 minutes of tutoring a week; Max goes to 1 hour. Homework help, quizzes and games come from the same credits — you decide the split.
On Pro and Max: Credits refresh every Monday, 00:00 ET. Unused credits don't roll over. Your free trial is 777 credits in 24 hours from signup, every feature unlocked and no card required. The credits don't refill and the clock doesn't pause — after that you'll need Pro or Max to keep using CanTutor.

Getting started
Is it actually free to start?
Yes — no card required. Your name, an email and a password get you a free trial: 777 credits and 24 hours, every feature unlocked, from the moment you sign up. That's enough to try everything, or about 20 minutes of live tutoring if that's all you spend it on. When either the credits or the clock runs out, choose Pro or Max to carry on — nothing you made in the meantime goes away.
Tutoring time, credits and billing
How much live tutoring do I get, and how do credits work?
Pro includes up to 40 minutes of live 1-on-1 tutoring every week, in sittings of up to 30 minutes; Max goes to 1 hour. Those minutes are a cap, not a reservation — the credits they cost come from the same pool as everything else: quizzes, grading, flashcards, games. A minute of tutoring is 28 credits, a text-tutor question is 2. Nothing is ring-fenced, so you decide how much of the week goes on tutoring.
What happens when I run out, or want to change plans?
The feature you reach for tells you you're out, and on a paid plan, when credits come back — every week, on Monday, 00:00 ET, at your plan's full allowance; unused credits don't roll over. The free trial doesn't reset: its 777 credits and 24 hoursrun once, from signup. Either way, nothing you've already made is touched — your courses, decks, quizzes and grades stay put. Switch or cancel whenever you like, and you keep the account either way; billing specifics are best sent to support, and the formal version lives in the terms.
What the tutor can and can't do
Can it be wrong?
Yes, and confidently — that's true of every AI tutor, including this one. Check anything that matters: a step in a proof, a date, a citation, a mark it estimates. Grades and feedback here are a study aid to improve a draft. They are not your real mark, and not a substitute for your teacher's judgement.
Will it just do my homework for me?
It can, and you should think hard before letting it. On an assignment you choose between a mode that coaches you through your own work, and one that writes the work for you. The second is labelled as exactly that: handing in AI-written work as your own may break your school's academic-integrity rules, and that lands on you, not us. Everything else — live sessions, the whiteboard, quizzes, games — is built to make you do the thinking.
Is this a replacement for a teacher or a human tutor?
No — we'd rather say so here than have you discover it. It's available at 1am, never gets impatient at the fourth explanation, and costs a fraction of an hourly tutor. It also can't sit in your class, can't read the room when you're quietly lost, and isn't accountable for your grade. Think of it as what fills the gap between stuck right now and asking a person tomorrow.
Your work and your data
What happens to what I type, say and upload?
It goes to the AI providers that power whichever feature you're using, so they can send a response back — the privacy policynames each provider and lists exactly what is sent to it, feature by feature. We don't build or train our own models on your work, and none of those providers is permitted to use it to advertise to you.
Live lessons aren't recorded: your mic, camera and screen stream through the call and no copy is kept. The written transcript is saved by us — that's what your session recap and history are built from.
Can I delete my account and everything in it?
Yes — you don't need to email us: deleting your account is self-service. It schedules the deletion, sets your subscription to stop renewing, and gives you a 30-day grace window — signing back in during that time cancels it. After 30 days, a scheduled job removes the account and everything tied to it: conversations, transcripts, scores, progress, feedback, connected classwork and any files you uploaded. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
The full detail lives in our privacy policy and terms of service.
